Job Title: ETL Developer
Job Duties: Design and develop ETL solutions using data warehouse design best practices and database modeling methodologies. Create data lineage maps. Document all ETL and other data warehouse processes and flows. Create or update technical documentation for transition to support teams. Develop mappings using transformations such as Source Qualifier, Aggregator, Lookup, Filter, Sequence Generator, Expression, Router, Update Strategy, Rank, XML. Develop technical specifications and other helpful ETL documents. Create logical and physical data models. Generate the DDL scripts for the physical data model. Develop automated data audit and validation processes. Develop and manage big data pipelines. Write large/complex SQL queries using joins, views, subqueries and stored procedures. Develop dashboards, stories, data visualizations, and analytics using Tableau. Use Tableau to apply complex, compound calculations to large data sets. Write Python scripts to parse JSON documents and load the data in the database. Use Python APIs for extracting daily data from multiple customers. Develop and deploy ETL job workflow with reliable error/exception handling and rollback. Manage foundational data administration tasks such as scheduling jobs, troubleshooting job errors, identifying issues with job windows, assisting with database backups and performance tuning. Design, develop, test and adapt ETL code and jobs to accommodate changes in source data and new business requirements. Provide technical leadership in design, architecture, integration and support of the entire data sourcing platform with a focus on high availability, performance, scalability and maintenance. Manage automation of file processing as well as all ETL processes within a job workflow. Ensure data quality throughout the entire ETL process, including audits and feedback loops to sources of truth.
Will work in Plano, TX and/or various unanticipated client sites throughout the U.S. Must be willing to travel and/or relocate.
